Inspired by flicks set in the 1940s and 1950s like Gangster Squad or L.A. Confidential, I chose a more rough style for this picture. Wearing a light non-formal shirt with rolled up sleeves combined with sunglasses and a Fedora hat matches the West Coast-setting, while the military-style M1A1 Thompson SMG and the cloth covered face depict a very brutal impression. Finally, the black background with light smoke and the shadows of a window blind in the foreground arrange a certain Noir effect. 🙂
